Karinda heard something about depression (and trauma) on Theo Von’s “This Past Weekend” podcast interviewing Tim Fletcher, made a post about it, and Julie reacts in real-time to this perspective. As naturopaths, we’re passionate about getting to the root of symptoms, so when we heard the idea of depression as a means of “slowing down” your nervous system, activating your rest-digest-restore healing mechanisms, we had to talk about it. Julie graciously reads out Karinda’s caption, which includes some of her own history with nervous system dysregulation, trauma and depression.
